Adidas miCoach mobile app for Windows Phone 8

Here's another reason why you'll want to get a Nokia Lumia running Windows Phone 8. Adidas just released miCoach, an interactive personal coaching and training app that leverages the built-in sensors in the Lumia. Plus, it integrates with other features like Nokia Music and HERE Maps. If you like training with a heart rate monitor, grab a Bluetooth-enabled heart monitor and you're set to begin your workout. You'll get real-time personal coaching based on your fitness biometrics.

Adidas has added a nice selection of gadgets to their miCoach ecosystem. You can get a heart rate monitor that transmits either via Bluetooth or ANT+. Are you a runner? Get the miCoach Pacer bundle which includes a heart rate monitor and stride sensor. The SPEED_CELL is a stride sensor that clips to your shoe and uses ANT+.

The Adidas miCoach X_CELL looks like their version of the Under Armour Armour39 digital performance monitor that combines a heart rate monitor with an accelerometer to measure your physical activity and correlate your speed movements and your performance with your heart rate. Sound like too much health and fitness data? If used correctly, all that information can help you train more effectively so that you live a healthier life and avoid exercise-related injuries.

By the way, the Adidas miCoach mobile app is also available for iOS and Android.

  1. I had to go to the hospital two days ago because my health got very bad. This was all due to bad fitness and diet.
