How much weight did you gain this holiday season?

Now that the holidays are over, it's time for some of us to lose of that extra weight we gained over the past 2 months (I'm counting Thanksgiving). I did my best to control my eating, but I still gained some weight (despite the late-night runs and the trips to the gym). When I'm surrounded by such delicious food and unhealthy treats, it can get too hard to resist taking another bite!

So, I'm probably in the same boat as you. I need to lose a few pounds. I know I can do it because I've done it before. I'm tracking my weight on my digital scale and also following how my body fat composition changes over time. I plan to combine strength training with more cardio exercises to lose some of the excess weight I gained over the holidays.

I've been logging my daily weight and body fat % using the Fitbit mobile app. Here's what my weight graph looks like for the past 3 months:

And here's my "Lean vs. Fat" graph for the past 3 months:

I'll be sharing progress updates as I wear my activity trackers to monitor my daily and weekly progress. I don't make it to the gym every day and since it's so cold, it's hard to run outside. Thankfully, I have a basement where I can do some at-home exercises without disrupting the rest of the family, so that's where I go to burn some calories.
