This summer, I've been wearing the Polar V800 almost every day and using it to track my running, my swimming, and my other exercising activity. It's a great GPS watch that's also waterproof for swimming. The V800 is Polar's first Bluetooth fitness watch and it combines the accelerometer technology found in the Polar Loop (a wearable activity tracker) into a waterproof GPS watch that's great for running, cycling, swimming, and indoor exercise. I've worn my V800 to the beach and to the swimming pool. Since it's only waterproof to 30 m, I won't be diving in it, but it's designed to be a fully functional triathlon watch.
Although there are some exciting smartwatches coming out this fall that will link to Apple iOS and Google Android mobile devices, they probably won't be waterproof enough for my fitness use.
