Moto 360 - no indoor running treadmill mode?

I've been using the Moto 360 for the past few weeks and although I really like some Android Wear features, I'm puzzled that none of the running apps seem to support an indoor running treadmill mode. Maybe I'm missing it, but I've tried MapMyRun, Runtastic, Endomondo, Strava, and Runkeeper.

By indoor running treadmill mode, I'm specifically referring to the use of the built-in accelerometer in the Moto 360 to record and measure my stride length, running pace, and running distance. I don't want to strap my smartphone on my arm when I'm running indoor on a treadmill. I'd also like to avoid using a foot pod.

There are numerous GPS running watches (made by Garmin, TomTom, etc.) that support an indoor running treadmill mode like this. In fact, even the Samsung Gear S has this mode when you're using the Nike+ running app or the Samsung S Health app. I'm disappointed that the Moto 360 doesn't seem to have this basic fitness function enabled or active on any Android Wear running app.
