November is National Running Safety Month

This month, if you're out running in the cold weather, make sure to be safe. Very safe. November is National Running Safety Month. Wear bright colors. Wear reflective gear. Wear or carry a light. Be defensive.  Be seen.

When I go running at night, I always wear a bright headlamp that has a blinking red LED light on the back. I also wear reflective clothing and a bright vest that has reflective material on it.

You'd think that people should be using common sense when they go for a run, but some runners are too extreme and they'll go running even when the roads are icy or when the weather is dangerously too cold.

Let's all celebrate November as National Running Safety Month and light up the night!
